Jenny, What’s the weeked away all about?
The weekend away is essentially a fantastic chance to get away together, hear from God’s word and get to know each other towards the start of the year! It’s an opportunity to make firm friends, grow in our faith, prepare and equip ourselves for the year ahead of us.
Where is it?
The weekend away is (for the second year running) at Gilwell Park in Chingford (it’s a real place, we checked)!
When is it?
This year the weekend away will be from the 18th-20th November.
Who’s our speaker this year?
Our speaker this year is Tim Dennis, our UCCF Regional Team Leader, who you’ll see popping up pretty regularly through the rest of the year’s events too! We’ll be digging into some of the great truths of the Gospel to get to grips with what God’s done for us!
How do I book?
First off, to come on the weekend away you do actually have to be a member of LSUCU! It’ll cost you a mere £5 (plus £5 for SocFed membership) – we don’t actually want to take your money, we’re just obliged to for insurance etc…! So remember to sign up in the lufbra.net website when you get chance! Other than that, we’ll let you know when everything’s been sorted out, and you’ll be able to give us a cheque and your details to book your place.
How much will it cost?
The weekend away will cost a mere £60 this year! This is unusually cheap considering you only need to pay £5 to join the CU!
